One of the most familiar uses of Multi-Touch Technology is the Apple IPhone and the IPod Touch. The term ‘Multi-Touch’ is a registered trademark of Apple Inc. The IPhone was introduced in 2007, but the Multi-Touch technology was developed in 1982 by Nimish Mehta at the University of Toronto.

The Multi-Touch surface is able to determine multiple touch points at any location on the surface. Used in a musical application, this makes it very easy to play a chord by touching three or more keys simultaneously in a graphical representation of a keyboard.

By using pinching motions on the Multi-Touch screen, you can increase or decrease the size of a web page displayed on an IPod Touch. By using a sweeping motion up or down along the side of the screen, you can rapidly scroll through web pages.

Larger Multi-Touch screens can be built within a reasonable budget. There are many examples of this from hobbyists on the internet.

A number of companies have invested in and released advanced computers with Multi-Touch capabilities. One example is the 15.6-inch Acer Aspire 5738 PG laptop. At less than $800.00, it seems a good buy, but some glitches in the screen have been reported.

Microsoft has developed a computer in a table top which incorporates a large Multi-Touch screen. Dubbed ‘Microsoft Surface’, it became available for use by AT&T customers in 2008. Though still too expensive for the general public, analysts predict wide spread use of such devices in the next few years.

Called ‘The Magic Touch’, the Dell SX2210T 21.5 inch Multi-Touch Monitor brings this technology home. This is a high definition monitor providing 1920 by 1080 pixels of resolution. It is 16:9 widescreen for use on any Windows 7 based home computer. With Dell behind it and at a price of $469, this is sure to become a very commonly used technology in the next few years.

Effective Network Services can be created at a very cost effective and secure communication service. They can be made very reliable and enable many private services in their operation. This level of IT support can be designed and maintained in a few particular ways.

To first form a strong backbone is Network Serivece. A system that the company can access company wide from many different locations contains the network services. The right highly qualified staff that integrates multiple developmental uses on one company wide service platform, is the greatest requirement. Instead of just having a single internet provider for different employees. It is best to combine them together. Having hosting, maintenance, and address configuration, all included in the network design. This is many times over the most efficient and a great asset to the organization and level of overall efficiecency. Company emails and communication of employees with one another can be developed to include instant visual communications, especially ones that are not in the same time zones and/or country. This is a gigantic cost and time saver, instead of overnight travel. This providing of effective network services can be done in a way that includes all your companies’ employees, large or small in number.

Once completed, it will involve all employees at their maximum level of participation and skill level. Allowing the company to maximize its efficiency and employee work level/work load interactions, communication and participations. The right people will blossom and be rewarded in an effective network system. The right employees responsibly maintaining and keeping the network system updated, will ensure that the company and its employees continue to grow. They can interact at the highest level of company quality with confidence. The everyday process of employees beginning their day and completing their tasks and job responsibilities will be greatly shortened. Job quality will be increased with an efficient network being successfully provided and installed within your company.

Graphics tablets for computers are devices and one of the basic technology items one can utilize on their computers. These tablets can also be called drawing tablets. These devices come with a stylus. A stylus is the pen one uses to draw the images. These graphics tablets are not only used for drawing images. One can write signatures or other text onto these, as well.

When these tablets came out, they were even more basic than they are now. One of the contemporary ones was put out into the market around the year 1957. This one just did the basics; recognizing signatures, kind of like those that are seen at the cash registers when a person signs for a credit card transaction. The first ones made did not connect to computers as they do now.

Other names that people have given these tablets are digitizers, pen pads, digitizing tablets, or graphics tablets. In the beginning of the ones for computers, there was one called KoalaPad. The Apple ll was the computer that it was actually designed for.

As one point with making these graphics tablets for computers, companies began to put the different types of them into categories. Some categories are passive tablets, active tablets, optical tablets, acoustic tablets, electromagnetic tablets, and capacitive tablets.

When the text or images are drawn on the basic tablets, the images or data will be seen on the computer monitor, not on the tablets. There are ones with higher technology where a person can view anything that is drawn right on the tablets. These higher technology ones have a mini computer screen on them.

Some of the basic graphics tablets do allow a person to use them in replacement of their computer mouse. One accessory that comes with the tablets is what is called a puck. It works like a computer mouse works, only it has bit more technology for navigating. Whether it is basic technology or a higher level of technology one is looking for, these graphics tablets for computers can be quite useful. They serve many functions for each person and their computer needs.

The product that I have found to be most reliable, non-intrusive and failsafe for regular registry cleaning and repair is a simple product called “CleanMyPC – Registry Cleaner” latest version 2.19 distributed by CleanMyPC Software and retailing for a modest $29.95USD. This purchase is a lifetime subscription and includes all regular updates patches and supports. I have been using this product for more than 5 years with absolutely no problems ever encountered.

Before discussing Registry Cleaning and Maintenance it should be prefaced with a very stern warning. Monkeying around with your computer registry is probably similar to opening the hood of your car and removing various components and wires without knowing what you are doing. The risk and potential is irrepairable damage to your operating system and data. I would recommend that if you are to the point where you feel you need a registry cleaner, install it with the help of a solid professional, such as a “rent-a-geek” or a colleague or friend you are confident knows his or her way around the computer operating system.

Another very strong recommendation is that before you apply a registry cleaner you back up your volatile data, financial data, emails, email contacts, pictures, music, documents and anything else that if you destroy your operating system and have to reinstall it from the manufacturers recovery software, you will be able to get all your valuable digital files back. I strongly recommend that you use a regular 2-tiered backup routine, first of all never store any of your valuable volatile data on the same drive as your operating system (usually the “C” drive) and more importantly incorporate the use of a regular at least weekly backup routine to an external drive or even to an online backup service. This step is MISSION CRITICAL and I would not even consider using a Registry Cleaner until you have done this. There are many inexpensive backup software and hardware devices available on the market, find them and use them.

Concerning the CleanMyPC solution, it runs in the background, can be set up to run on a schedule, or to remind you on a schedule to run the cleaning process. I have it set to run weekly, at Sunday morning 2am. The first time you use the cleaner, it forces you to create a backup of your registry and to archive it on a recovery location such as a writable CD or a place on your drive that it can find easily. If your registry fails after a cleaning, the CleanMyPC software boots into itself and will prompt you to perform a registry recovery from the backup file it created. After you have performed this step and then your first registry cleaning, it’s like going to the doctor for a regularly scheduled checkup once a week, you will be secure and confident that your operating system is not running away from you and getting bogged down with all the usual trash that can be encountered online.

Speaking of that, if you employ this tactic on your computer, and there are many other people using it, such as children or other adults that like to frequent websites that can run and install all kinds of rogue applications, this could potentially defeat your efforts of trying to maintain a clean and efficient registry. Therefore it is important that you include an educational session for all users of the PC concerning what you are installing, what it will do, and how they should helpy you maintain the computer by being very careful and communicating what and where they are going and doing on the PC.
